New Music Label

Southside Digital Music is as a fresh new music label, founded by seasoned industry professionals Lasse Mosegard (Illinton) and Jeremy Cowan (DJ Digit). This versatile label plans to release an eclectic mix of genres such as house, tech house, organic house, 1920s jazz, Victorian hip-hop, drum and bass, and diverse world music, including Indian and traditional Albanian styles. Additionally, some of the releases will be linked with graphic novels published by our affiliated company, Southside Stories.

Lasse Mosegard

Lasse Mosegard is an experienced producer, composer, musician, and mix engineer based in Barcelona, Spain. Lasse produces in a wide range of musical genres, including Chill-Out, Electronica, Hip-Hop, House, Tech, Film Scores, TV, and Meditation Journeys, as well as Jazz influenced electronica and Acoustic Singer-Songwriter.

Lasse has worked with many talented artists worldwide, including Angie Brown, Anne Rani, Alton Miller, Bizzare Inc., Buda, Bravofox, Carioca Freitas, Camelle Hinds, Culture Club, David Lynch, Decoder (Kosheen), Dimos Goudaroulis, DJ Digit, Duncan Bridgeman, Choc Electrique, Faye Tozer (Steps), Frank’e (Koxbox), Gangway, Gary Durdan, Gbatokai Dakinah, James Kameran, Jihae, Karsh Kale, Kenneth Baker, Keera Kushnirova, Kjeld Tolstrup, Kym Mazell, Lamb, Lenny Ibizarre, Nima Gorji, Søren Rasted (Aqua), Lucas, Natasha Drum, Novascotia, Miro, Peshey, Yoav Sadan, Raz Degan, Ricardo Da Force (KLF) (RIP), Technical Itch, Tyree Cooper, Shola Ama and Queen Latifah.

DJ DIGIT

DJ Digit started his DJ career in Chicago when House music first
started; he was a member of Frankie Knuckle’s Record Pool at the Powerplant and first started DJing at Chicago’s Legendary Club Metro Smart Bar. He then moved to San Francisco, where he worked in record stores, then founded his own record store BPM and teamed up with Raul Recinos (DJ EFX).

They started 3rd Floor Productions and remixed artists like David Bowie, Sting, Ru Paul, Deee-Lite, Boy George, Rozalla and many others. Digit and EFX then released records on Strictly Rhythm and had their own labels N-Fusion and Freshly Squeezed. The 3rd Floor Productions crew included: Tyler Stone, DJ Rasoul, DJ Buck, Aquatherium, LZ Love and Sean Benson (RIP).

DJ Digit was a mix show DJ on KMEL in the early 90s, he then toured all over the USA and Europe, for many years with residencies in San Francisco, London, Manchester, Berlin, Cologne and Munster.
